Sensory Dissection
Flavor
Huangshan Maofeng
Huangshan Maofeng grows in the misty Yellow Mountains of Anhui and ranks among China's famous historical teas. The downy leaves brew a clear, fresh cup with floral orchid notes, a light chestnut sweetness, and a crisp mineral finish. The body is soft and the aftertaste clean, with a gentle orchid aroma that lingers.
Yunwu
Yunwu, 'cloud and mist,' is a family of Chinese greens grown in fog-shrouded mountains, with Mount Lu in Jiangxi the most famous source. The slow growth in cool mist gives a cup with soft mineral depth, fresh vegetal notes, and a clean, smooth finish. The leaves brew up pale and fragrant, and the tea rewards gentle, cooler water and patient steeping rather than hot, fast brews.
