How the tea data on this site is structured.

Tea profiles on Tea Atlas follow commonly documented tea knowledge — production style, origin, and typical flavor and brewing characteristics — organized into a consistent structured format.

Caffeine levels (low / medium / high and typical milligram ranges) are approximate values for a standard brewed serving. Actual content varies with leaf quantity, water temperature, steeping time, and serving size.

Flavor intensity shown on tea pages reflects the relative prominence of each flavor in the tea profile — it is a curated ordering, not a laboratory measurement.

Brewing parameters are a starting point. If your tea tastes bitter, use cooler water or shorter steeps; if it tastes thin, use more leaf or longer steeps.
