Flavor

Wuliangshan Sheng

Wuliangshan sheng comes from the Wuliang mountains of central Yunnan, part of the vast tea-growing belt between Pu'er and Dali. The region's high-elevation old-growth gardens produce sheng with a fragrant, high-pitched profile: floral and honeyed up front, with a clear mineral structure and a sweet, cooling finish. Compared with Xishuangbanna teas, Wuliangshan sheng often feels cleaner and more aromatic than dense.

Yiwu Sheng

HoneyedFloralFruityWoody

Yiwu sheng comes from the ancient tea forests around Yiwu in Xishuangbanna, one of pu-erh's most celebrated regions. The style is famously soft: floral, honeyed, and sweet with a gentle bitterness that fades fast into a long cooling finish. Young Yiwu is among the most approachable sheng for newcomers, while aged Yiwu develops camphor, old wood, and dried-fruit depth. It remains the benchmark for elegant sheng pu-erh.
